The C.V. Money Naming Committee was a groupof citizens, alumni, and Northern Michigan University (NMU) staff with the goal of convincing the NMU Administration to name the Physical Education and Instructional Facility (PEIF) on campus after C.V. C.V. "Red" Money was born in Jay County, Indiana. He received a B.S. degree from Ohio Northern University (1923), an M.S. degree (1933) and a Dir. P.E. degree (1956) from Indiana University. Money began his career at Northern Michigan University in 1947. For many years, he was nearly single-handedly responsible for the entire athletic program.
